Hi, I’m FRANCESCA ELISABETTA

I lived in Italy for more than 20 years.

Not as a tourist. As a resident.

I raised my daughter there, became an Italian citizen, learned the language, became an artist, exhibited my work, built relationships, and had my second heart surgery in Rome.

Italy is my life.

And living there taught me the difference between seeing a place and knowing it.

That became the foundation for the way I create travel.

Over the years, my work and perspective have been featured by CNN, Euronews, Fodor’s Travel, The Washington Post, AARP, and Italian television and radio.

I built a community of more than 28,000 senior women, and I have traveled with women through Italy, the Greek islands, Morocco, and beyond.

But somewhere along the way, I realized the most important part was not the travel. It was the women.

Over long lunches, on buses, walking through villages, and sitting over wine at the end of the day, we talked.

Really talked.

About marriage. Adult children. Friendship. Health. Money. Loss. Loneliness. Confidence. Starting over.

About what happens when you reach this third chapter of life and realize that the old rules do not fit quite as well anymore.

Again and again, one question surfaced:

Those conversations changed the way I think about women our age. We have experience. We know ourselves better. We know time matters.

And many of us are finally in a position to ask what we want the next part of life to look like.

WHAT DO I WANT NOW?

That is where BOHEMIARE comes from.

Years of living deeply in another culture.

Years of creating travel differently.

Years of listening to women tell the truth about this stage of life.

And one belief I keep coming back to:

We are not finished.

There is still more to learn.
