our MANIFESTA

We are not finished becoming.

We have spent enough of our lives being sensible.

We have raised families. Built careers. Cared for parents.

Kept promises. Solved problems. Paid mortgages. Remembered birthdays.

We have been the women everyone could count on.

Now we get to ask a wonderfully selfish question:

WHAT DO I WANT?

We refuse to make this chapter smaller simply because we’re older

We are not interested in becoming quieter, safer, less visible or more “appropriate for our age.”

We still want to be surprised.

Beautiful places. Extraordinary food. Art that stops us in our tracks.

Conversations with people whose lives look nothing like ours.

Long lunches that become dinner.

Friendships we never saw coming.

We want to learn something we don’t know.

Try something we’re terrible at.

Change our minds.

Change our plans.

Maybe even change ourselves.

CURIOSITY DOES NOT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE.

Neither does adventure.

And neither do we.

Years ago, someone said something to me that I never forgot.

If you keep making the same choices, eventually you’re just sitting on the couch waiting to die.

Harsh?

Absolutely.

But it stayed with me because doing nothing is also a decision.

We can wait for the perfect time.

The perfect companion.

Better health.

More confidence.

Someone else’s permission.

Or we can live.

We believe travel should leave us with more than a phone full of photographs.

We believe slowing down allows us to experience more, not less.

We believe food is culture.

Strangers are worth talking to.

Laughter is essential.

And some of life’s best moments will never appear on an itinerary.

WE BELIEVE WOMEN NEED OTHER WOMEN.

We are not trying to become younger.

God, no.

We’ve already been young.

We want what comes next.

More curiosity.

More courage.

More beauty.

More connection.

More of ourselves.

We have spent enough of our lives asking what is expected of us.

Now we get to ask:

WHAT MAKES ME FEEL ALIVE?

This is our manifesto.

A life less ordinary.

And every intention of living the hell out of it.
